Walt Disney Signature, Disney’s first upscale, adult lifestyle brand, is proud to unveil the Justice Bodan for Walt Disney Signature collection of hand-sculpted bronze belt buckles at Fashion’s Night Out in Los Angeles on Sept. 10, 2010 at The Fred Segal Center on Melrose Avenue.
The high-end style and expert craftsmanship of Justice Bodan’s belts have developed a loyal following of fans and celebrities including Jennifer Aniston. Each of the six designs in the new Walt Disney Signature collection is wearable art and are now available in bronze and white bronze at Fred Segal, specialty retailers and at JusticeBodan.com for $225-$245.
Each buckle in the Justice Bodan for Walt Disney Signature collection has an individual name (Dream, Inspire, Strength, Creativity, Destiny, Willpower and Inspiration) as well as its own story, which correlates to the moment and the destination that inspired its creation. These stories of inspiration are shared on the hangtags for the different pieces, which were inspired by artwork of Mickey Mouse, Prince Charming, Tinker Bell, Cinderella and Snow White.
“Traveling the world, I have seen many symbols of love, fun, optimism and happiness, but none is stronger than Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney’s vision,” says Justice Bodan designer and sculptor, David Grieco. “Each piece takes inspiration from classic Disney films and stories. This unique collection combines my vision of these amazing stories with the magic of Disney.”
To protect the integrity and authenticity of the designs, each belt buckle is created using the lost-wax process, pulling each piece from a mold before casting into bronze. Each piece is one-of-a-kind created by David in this age old process.
Inspired by the vision and style of Walt Disney himself, the Walt Disney Signature collection began with a 12-piece furniture collection in 2006. Since then, the Walt Disney Signature brand has expanded into numerous categories including jewelry, accessories, clothing, rugs, lighting, tabletop products, stationery, wall décor and home scents.
