Troops serving overseas and those assisting in the relief effort in the New York City area look set to be showered with kisses, albeit in postcard and virtual form, thanks to the success of the fourth annual Kisses for the Troops campaign. People flocked to a specially designed kissing tent, stationed in Times Squares’ Father Duffy Square in New York, and were invited to plant a kiss on a postcard.
The joint initiative between Cosmopolitan Magazine, Maybelline New York and the United Services Organizations (USO) was kicked off by Charmed actress Rose McGowan who donated the first kiss and posed for pics with servicemen during the event. Maybelline spokesperson and model Jessica White was also in attendance. Cosmo and Maybelline New York will be donating $1 for every kiss collected to the USO and as consumers can still donate kisses online up until December 31st. Let’s hope those puckers raise a lot of money as well as the spirits of our hard working troops.
