Occasionally we come across a product that bestows an immediate glow, changing our look (for the better!) in an instant. Since we’d be remiss to keep them to ourselves, we highlight these genius finds in our Instant Makeover series.

3D nails are nothing new. This year we’ve tried button accents and of course, Ciate’s Caviar Nail Kit. But Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy ($8.99, Revlon.com) is one-of-a-kind because it’s so user-friendly, has a longer life span and has so many more design options.

This week I went to a beauty editor event with the amazing celebrity nail art Jin Soon at the MOMO in New York. Working with a woman who knows her nail art, she showed us so many ways we could play with the new polish — 3D ombré, French tips, and even simple designs. While I went with simple French tips, they weren’t just any normal glitter tips. Because the polish is thicker, it looks like gemstones individually glued on the nails. Take a look at one of the manis Jin created at the event.

Just one of the many nail art manis Jin came up with! How gorgeous are those nails? (and that ring!)

Even in the picture you can see that amazing (yet simple) 3D effect. My only warning is that the polish is sticky — don’t expect perfection. But then again, when does glitter have to be perfect?

Would you try this 3D mani? Comments below pleeeeease!
