‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 3 Finale Recap: ‘A dAngerous gAme’

Pretty Little Liars Season 3 FinaleIt was a true first for a “Pretty Little Liars” finale: instead of a death, we witnessed not one but two resurrections…of sorts. Now, we had a hunch Red Coat might be a long-lost Rosewood resident, but the reveal was shocking, nonetheless.

The episode began with Spencer returning home from Radley, complete with tea party welcome from her family and the little liars. And it was all so educational: We learned the difference between English muffins and crumpets and that the Hastings were planning to throw Spencer a bona fide welcome back party after her stay at the institution for exhaustion. (How very Hollywood!)

Cut to the A Team mobile where a black-hoodied figure was hacking some sort of phone number as Mona walked in and made herself comfy. Surprise!—it was Toby’s number. He’s alive! Apparently Mona had told Spencer during her time at Radley that her BF was still alive and that he would be her reward if she handed over the girls. But Spencer outsmarted her and lured Toby to a restaurant for an early meeting.

“Everything I’ve done is so I can protect you,” he told her. “Let me take you somewhere safe.”

So Spencer followed Toby to a motel where they rekindled their romance (if you get my drift).

‘Pretty Little Liars’ spin-off ‘Ravenswood’ coming to ABC Family

Ravenswood, a spinoff drama from top-rated Pretty Little LiarsABC Family‘s flagship drama Pretty Little Liars is becoming a franchise. The cable network has given a straight to series order to Ravenswood, a spinoff drama from top-rated Pretty Little Liars, which has been renewed for a fifth season ahead of its fourth season premiere. Ravenswoodhails from the same auspices as Pretty Little Liars: Warner Horizon Television and executive producers Marlene King, who developed Liars based on the Alloy books; Oliver Goldstick; Joseph Dougherty; and Alloy’s Leslie Morgenstein.

Written byLiars co-showrunners King and Goldstick and Dougherty, the spinoff takes place in Ravenswood, a town near Liars‘ hometown of Rosewood PA, which has suffered under a deadly curse for generations. Ravenswood will premiere in October following the third annual Liars Halloween special. I hear the special will be used to introduce Ravenswood and its inhabitants.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ shocker!

Lesley Fera, Keegan Allen, Troian Bellisario

Last night’s episode of ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars – aptly named “Misery Loves Company” — dropped one rather huge bombshell: Spencer (Troian Bellisario) finally discovered that her (now ex?) boyfriend Toby (Keegan Allen) is working for Mona (Janel Parrish) and the “A” team — a deception that she was just clued into, but that viewers have known since its big reveal last August. Whoa!

In light of that, we asked players from the show — the puppet masters, executive producers Marlene King and Oliver Goldstick, as well as Bellisario herself — to answer all of our burning questions about the plot line. How did Bellisario prepare to learn the bombshell? Is this the end of “Spoby” (Spencer and Toby)? And so on. Continue below for all the scoop about last night’s big reveal.

ABC Family’s The Lying Game: Get the Look! Get the Wardrobe!

Get the Look!  ABC Family’s hit series ‘The Lying Game’ has opened it’s closets to all of us!  I’m into Mads fashion all the way, but there is loads to appreciate here.  Take a little lookie….

Get the Look: The Lying Game Wardrobe

Hello sunshine!! Mads absolutely shines this episode in head-to-toe monochromatic yellow!! The perfect golden shade of this vibrant mustard color not only looks great against her skin but also looks great on her handbag and shoes!! Wearing the same color all over might seem a bit daunting to some of you but we assure it’s a very fresh and fashion-forward way to wear bright colors this spring and summer. Keep this look budget-friendly by looking for less expensive purse and shoes options since you most likely won’t be wearing bright shoes and handbags as much as neutral ones. Mustard, emerald green and fire orange are among some of our favorite must-have bright hues of the season!

There is something refreshing about a simple black dress that can be worn in various ways and Sutton nailed this look in her pretty LBD this episode!! Thin straps and a-line cuts are flattering on all body types, which makes this look universally wearable. The lightweight chiffon material is also great for traveling because it’s easy to pack and won’t wrinkle easily. We all want our legs to look like they go on for days, and one of the easiest ways to create that illusion is to wear nude color shoes similar to Sutton’s. Pile on fun accessories (like Sutton’s classic monogram “S”) to make this look your own, and you are good to go!

Whoever said bright colors should not be worn together should be fined by the Stylistas because Sutton has proven that the brighter the better!! We are obsessed with all the gorgeous candy-bright colors for spring and we are so happy to see Sutton setting us up for some perfect inspiration just in time for the season! This sort of color blocking works best with solid, bright hues in simple silhouettes similar to Sutton’s blouse and tailored cut-off shorts. The look is on-trend and sharp, both in the color department as well as the style department! Tucking in a button down blouse into a pair of well fitting shorts or pants guarantees that the look will not sloppy. You can color block bright hues that are in a similar color family or for those of you who are more daring, feel free to reach across the color spectrum and mix and match opposing colors! Shine on, Sutton!

Mads never ceases to amaze us with her fashion choices! The girl is always on-trend and always dressed to utter perfection from head to toe! The second we saw her, we loved the way the olive color complimented her skin tone. The combination of the knit and the color creates a really versatile, military-inspired look that is feminine and easy to wear. The studded details on the belt give the dress just a little bit of edge to keep it from looking too boring. A cotton dress like this one will be your saving grace during warm weather days when you want to just throw something on and leave the house fast. The addition of the long necklace was also genius!
