Radio Rebel Comes to DVD June 19th!

If you missed the Disney Channel premiere of their Original Movie Radio Rebel, have no fear! It’s coming to DVD June 19th. The movie stars Debby Ryan, who we all came to know and love on The Suite Life on Deck and recently her own show Jessie. Debby’s new show Jessie has been picked up for a second season, so ‘YAY!’ for that.

Based on the book Shrinking Violet by Danielle Joseph, the story follows Tara Adams (Debby Ryan: “Jessie,” Sixteen Wishes), an ordinary high school junior with an extraordinary secret—she’s Radio Rebel, the most popular radio DJ in Seattle! Bonus material includes 5 new featurettes including Debby Ryan’s hot music video for “We Got the Beat!”

New Debby Ryan Interview, Chats Fashion & Dream Room

Debby Ryan has come a long way since we saw her grace our TV screens on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life on Deck. She now has her own Disney Channel series “Jessie” and her DCOM “Radio Rebel” recently came out.

In this new interview with Debby, she talks about a little of everything from her worst date, fashion and other favorites. She also shares what her dream room would look like.

In “Radio Rebel,” Ryan plays Tara Adams, an introverted high school junior who can’t bring herself to speak in class — and especially when the newly-popular rocker, Gavin, is in her midst. Tara can’t imagine anything more intimidating than when her drama teacher teams her in class with Gavin and his prom date, the school’s cliquish queen bee, Stacy. Her shyness at school notwithstanding, alone in her room at home, Tara casts herself as Radio Rebel and, as host of a nightly podcast, showcases her passion for music and self-expression and her message to abandon cliques and celebrate each other’s differences.

If you’ve seen many pictures from the movie of Debby’s character Tara Adams, you’ll notice she wears a lot of hats. With the spring season comes rainy days, which then usually means bad hair days. One of the best ways to cover up that bad hair day and add some instant style and personality to your outfit, is with a cute hat!
